Balloons!

To the best of my knowledge, my sophomore year was the first time a prank involving balloons was tried.  I happened to have a few boxes of balloons that I got from work.  There were several dozen bags with probably 50 to a hundred in each bag.  I figured there had to be some use for them so I brought them to GBC and soon the work began.  Most of the men's dorm got involved blowing up balloons.  I handed out bags to several people who blew them up in their spare time.  Soon we started filling an empty dorm room and began gathering in there at night to blow them up.

The room is about half full and we still had more to blow up!
As the room began to fill up, we put up a mattress to block the doorway, and continued to dump more into the room.  Once they were all blown up, the room was very full and we began to get them ready.  We rounded up sheets and taped them together to make large bags, which we filled and stored in another empty room.
The original plan was to fill the hallway of the women's dorm, but we realized while we were filling up the empty room, that there was no way we would be able fill the entire hallway even a few feet high.  We would need a few thousand more to fill it to the ceiling.  We instead narrowed our focus to the bathroom. This is close to the finished product! After several tense nights, we finally decided the coast was clear and it was time to move.  One guy convinced his girlfriend to let us in and keep her mouth shut.  We used sheets to block off some portions of the bathroom and formed a chain to bring in the balloons.  In about 45 minutes we had them all in and after about an hour we were out. Despite several loud pops, no one ever came out of their room.  It was a very creative prank, and a lot of fun.
