On
the Move
A lot of cool
ideas have been pulled off that involved rearranging. One of the
more common ideas has been to completely move a person's room outdoors
and set it up exactly like it was inside, complete with working lamps.
Also along the same line, other ideas include moving a person's room to
another room and setting it up exactly the same way or even just reversing
the layout of a person's room.
Another really inventive idea that was pulled off involved emptying the
women's dorm lounge of furniture and decorations and setting it all back
up in the same arrangement in the cafeteria. I think it even stayed
there for a few days. It was actually kind of cool. It made
a nice hangout spot.
A second prank, which I am sure ruffled a few feathers involved emptying
out the main classroom of all the desks and tables and setting them up
on the roof.
In the decorating category, I can think of three pranks in particular that
stand out. One is really cool and easy to pull off, and is worth
the effort.
The first one involved driving around in a truck and gathering up bags
of leaves that people put out to the curb. After a really large amount
was collected, they were unloaded late at night into the breezeway of the
main building on campus, blocking the outdoor entrances, and the entrances
into the main office building and the lounge and dining hall. They
were probably stacked 2 or 3 rows high, maybe more.
The second one involves the ever famous toilet paper. A few ambitious
students decided to decorate the president's office while he was on vacation.
In defense of the prez, that is his personal and private space. In
defense of the perpitrators(I don't know who they were), I can recall finding
the prez's door open many times when I went into the office area to empty
trash. I guess some pranks are easier than one might think.
How about a self decorating room? This third idea has been pulled
on many people. First, one needs to obtain a large amount of styrofoam
beads like those in a bean bag chair(try a packing place or someplace that
deals in bulk products for industries). Second, one needs to have
a large roll of heavy duty plastic wrap that definitely doesn't have any
holes in it. Using some duct tape, tape the plastic wrap to someone's
doorway on the bottom, and part way up the sides. Then, pour the
styrofoam in between the door and the plastic. Once it is filled
finish taping the plastic the rest of the way up the sides, and across
the top, completely sealing it off and making it airtight. When the
person opens their door, assuming they pull it open in a normal manner,
the styrofoam will be sucked into their room, spreading itself all over
the place. Because of static electricity, it will also stick all
over the place. This one is definitely fun! If it happens to
you, a blow dryer is one way to gather it up, or get rid of it. You
might want to bag it up and save for use on someone else. |
